Every year during the season of bad sea conditions, they could not go out to sea to fish, which was commonly known as “Xiao Yue”. In order to support their families, they started selling noodles to “get through” the “Xiao Yue”. At the beginning, they sold noodles on a shoulder pole and hawked them along the streets. On the lantern in front of the stall, the six words “Du Xiao Yue Dan Zai Noodles” were written. Therefore, Du Xiaoyue has become its current trademark.
