Standard Contract Clauses for Individual Travelers: Mandatory and Prohibited Provisions

These mandatory and prohibited provisions apply to individual travelers who make room reservations—either directly or indirectly—with tourist hotels, hotels, or bed and breakfast operators (hereinafter referred to as “the Operator”).

Mandatory Provisions in Standard Room Reservation Contracts for Individual Travelers

  1. Guest Information
    The guest’s name, phone number, residence (or domicile) address, and national ID number (or passport number for foreign nationals, residence permit number).

  2. Operator Information
    The operator’s company or business name, the name of the representative or business owner, phone number, address, business license or registration number, website, contact person’s name, phone number, fax number, or email address.

  3. Reservation Details
    Duration of stay, required room type and quantity, name and contact information of the person making the reservation or staying.

  4. Total Room Price and Related Information
    Total price (inclusive of taxes and service charges), payment method, services included in the room rate, and facilities provided.

  5. Deposit Terms
    After accepting the reservation but before the guest’s check-in, the operator shall agree with the guest on one of the following deposit terms:

    • No deposit required, or

    • Deposit required (must not exceed 30% of the total agreed room price. However, for reservations during holidays of three or more consecutive days, the deposit may be increased up to 50%).

  6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
    If the guest cancels the reservation, they must notify the operator and may request a refund according to the following schedule:

    • 100% refund if the cancellation notice is received 14 days or more before the scheduled check-in date.

    • 70% refund if notice is received 10–13 days before the check-in date.

    • 50% refund if notice is received 7–9 days before the check-in date.

    • 40% refund if notice is received 4–6 days before the check-in date.

    • 30% refund if notice is received 2–3 days before the check-in date.

    • 20% refund if notice is received 1 day before the check-in date.

    • No refund if cancellation notice is received on the day of check-in, or if no notice is given.
