A Letter of Apology — To Our Guests Affected by This Morning’s Thunderstorm

Dear Guests,

In the early hours of this morning, between roughly 3am and 5am, Tainan was hit by a severe thunderstorm. So much rain fell in so short a time that at around 5am water poured in from the eighth floor and down the hotel’s stairwell. Because our security system is linked to the fire system, the fire alarm was triggered, causing inconvenience and alarm to some of our staying guests.

We are deeply sorry for this sudden storm and everything that followed. We offer our most sincere apologies to every guest affected.

Immediately after the incident, our team began on-site response and restoration work, and we are continuing to review our drainage and protective systems so that the chance of anything similar happening again is kept to an absolute minimum. We understand that every night of a journey deserves to be properly cared for, and we do not take that trust lightly.
