Recommended must-see attractions and food in Yujing District, Tainan
This time I came to the hometown of mango~~Yujing, so I must have a delicious mango trip! After a long journey, I have to have a good meal. First, I came to a place called Yujing Erkong, which is a cold noodle shop opened by an old priest. When I entered the shop, I saw the wall decoration full of collages of photos. It has its own characteristics and flavor. I ordered a bowl of noodles and found that it was topped with sesame paste and cucumber shreds. What’s special is that there was even some crushed ice! The crushed ice is really refreshing and cools down your mouth, and the fragrant sesame sauce tastes like summer! After eating the noodles, I went to the Yujing Market not far from here and saw vendors and passers-by coming and going, each with bags of mangoes in their hands. When you come to Yujing, why don’t you visit the Yujing Market? The supply and variety of goods here are very sufficient, both common and uncommon varieties, as long as you can think of them, they have them all! No matter what kind of mango you want to eat, including local mango, Aiwen mango, Wuxiang mango, Jinhuang mango, and Xiaxue mango, you can easily find it here! The mangoes here are sold in baskets. Those who love mangoes can buy a basket to take home. In addition to mangoes, there are also many mango ice creams and products on site that can be purchased or eaten directly on site, including mango ice cream, mango smoothies, mango shaved ice, dried mangoes, green mangoes, dried fruits, etc.
Seeing this really makes me want to eat mango ice more and more. When you go to Yujing, you must eat there is an ice shop. It is not far from the market so hurry up and buy some and go eat ice! When going to eat ice cream, you will first pass by the famous souvenir shop – Lianhua Pao You Mango. Local dried mangoes are sold here for purchase. Lianhua Pao You Mango is very popular in Yujing. It is famous throughout the country for their Corgi shop dogs [Jiujiu, Dada, Duoduo]. The cute appearance of the three dogs will also be posted on the Internet by the store to share with everyone. Seeing the three cute Corgis running and jumping and being lazy in the store is really cute enough. Many tourists will come here to visit. Adults and children are vying to take pictures of the puppies as souvenirs. They sell dried mangoes, dried guavas, dried pineapples, plums and many other things. They are all made from Taiwan’s famous specialty fruits. The flavor is more concentrated after being dried, and the storage time is longer than fresh fruits. They are very popular as souvenirs for foreign friends or for personal consumption. There are also dog-related products for sale next to it for those who like dogs to choose from! After visiting the souvenir shop, the sun was so hot that I wanted to go eat ice cream as soon as possible. Before I even got close to the ice cream shop, I saw a long queue of people outside. I intuitively knew that I had come to the right place! You won’t go wrong if you follow everyone. This is the ice shop. Watching everyone holding the menu and carefully studying the various ice products, we waited for a long time and finally ordered the signature Mango Wushuang ~ It was really delicious. The fresh mango flesh was so delicious, paired with the rich mango ice cream, and even the green mango next to it was just the right sour taste. This combination of sweet and sour taste is really a perfect match! I highly recommend the Mango Wushuang, a must-eat in Yujing~~After eating, we started our itinerary.
First stop
Tainan Yujing Attractions | The Doba Nian Incident Memorial Park
Arriving at the Dobaran Incident Memorial Park, in 1915, Japan entered its 20th year of colonial rule over Taiwan. This year, the largest armed anti-Japanese incident with the most casualties since Japan’s 20 years of rule occurred. Because the main battle took place in the Hutoushan area of Dobaran (now Yujing District, Tainan), it is called the “Dobaran Incident.” The main exhibition hall displays some items and introductions to the main characters, as well as attack and escape routes. Although the park is not big, it is well planned and surrounded by green trees, which is very comfortable. At the end of 2015, the centenary of the founding of the Tainan City Government, the Cultural Affairs Bureau planned a memorial park for the Baba Nian Incident. On the right side of the entrance is the glorious deeds of the Yuguang baseball team, the light of Yujing – the golden dragon Cai Songhui and the giant Ye Zhixian. The Yujing Little League team represented Taiwan in the Williamsport Little League Tournament in the United States and won the world championship… When we visited, there were volunteers explaining the story to us. Listening to the vivid explanations, we understood the great contributions of the people in the past and absorbed a lot of knowledge. There is a room in the back where videos are played and historical scenes of the Danba Nian incident are introduced. The corridor also displays a lot of information, including Yu Qingfang’s death penalty execution report, Jiang Ding’s arrest documents, Su Donghai’s confession, the abolition of the temporary court, professional record sheets, amnesty orders, lists of people who violated the criminal penalty orders for bandits, and major events after the incident. It is a place that makes people unable to take their eyes off. It is very pleasant to walk around in it. The breeze is very comfortable and refreshing. Coming to this new attraction has enriched my knowledge of history and I have gained a lot.

As soon as everyone enters and sees the white horse landscape, they all take out their phones to take pictures. Everyone chooses the best position and poses in various ways.
