Walking from the hotel towards Minsheng Road, there is a very understated bar called Phowa. It is hidden on the second floor of an old apartment block, with no sign, and you have to ring the intercom to go up. It concentrates on tea liquors and cocktails made with Taiwanese local elements, and the owner is like a silent artist, with a story in every glass. Take him here and he will certainly look at your taste with new eyes.
