Anping Fort
Fort Anping, also known as Fort Zeelandia, Orange City, Royal City, Anping City, and Taiwan City, is a fortress that once existed in Tainan City, Taiwan. Originally built in 1624, it is the earliest fortress building in Taiwan. Since its establishment, the city has been the center of the Dutch rule in Taiwan and the residence of the rulers of the Zheng Dynasty. There are two ruins in Anping Fort: “Taiwan City Remains” and “Fort Zeelandia Walls and Remains of Buildings within the City”.
