True to its founding wish to weave beauty and art into the way we live, 3 Door Hotel has invited, from across the sea, one of Japan’s leading figures in animation —Kimiharu Obata— to give an inspiring, up-close lecture in the hotel’s beautiful eighth-floor sky garden.
🎨 About the master | Kimiharu Obata
With more than forty years in the industry, Kimiharu Obata has worked on countless household-name productions, includingDetective Conan, Doraemon, Sailor Moon, Crayon Shin-chan and Anpanman. He is also a co-founder and vice-principal of the AMPS international animation academy, where he has personally trained more than two thousand of the people now leading Japan’s animation industry. This is not only a dream lecture for animation lovers but a rare chance to see behind the scenes of Japanese animation craft!
🌿 Architecture as the foundation; art beneath the stars
The event will be held on the hotel’s top level, theeighth-floor Sky Garden. Under Tainan’s soft night breeze and romantic lighting, you can talk with the master at close quarters. After a rich evening of art, you need only go downstairs to return to your own room — scented with natural cypress, free of dust mites and low in allergens — for the five-star (and five-heart) sleep we have prepared for you.
