3 Door was built by Sanyelou Architects, a team specialising in bespoke southern residences, around the central idea ofa journey back through time, condensing four hundred years of Tainan history into a narrative across seven floors.
Seven floors × seven eras
From the European softness of the Dutch colonial period to the composure of Japanese wabi-sabi; from the exposed concrete of the early Republic to a contemporary art layer of interwoven light and shadow — every floor is like turning a page of the city’s memory.
