Tainan District Court was originally the site of the Qing Ma Barracks. It was built after the Japanese occupied Taiwan and is a local court under the jurisdiction of the Taiwan Governor-General’s Office. Later, after reconstruction, the new building was completed and put into use at Mabingying (later renamed Nanmen-cho 2-chome). It looks beautiful and elegant, and is a Baroque building.
