At 1:00 p.m. on January 11, a charity lecture co-organized by the Light Spot Children’s Critical Illness Support Association, Coach Dashu, Sandaomen Cultural and Creative Hotel Tainan and many artists was held at Sandaomen Hotel.
The purpose of this event is to speak up for seriously ill children, to arouse society’s attention and support for them, and to take practical actions to help these children’s future.
Activity Origin:
The event was inspired by a volunteer’s original intention. He is a member of the Light Point Association and a student of Coach Dashu. During one class, he emotionally said to his coach: “I want to do more for these children.” This sentence became the catalyst for this public welfare lecture full of love and hope.
Lecture highlights:
- Sharing moving stories: Coach Dashu gave an inspiring speech based on his own experiences and the life stories of seriously ill children.
- Art Exhibition and Charity Sale: Several paintings and other creations by critically ill children were exhibited. Through the charity sale, all proceeds will be used to support these children’s right to receive art education.
- Music Performance: A chamber orchestra consisting of piano, violin, cello, erhu and saxophone performed a moving concert at the event, conveying hope and love with melodious tunes.

Ms. Li Xunting, the founder of Three Doors Tainan Hotel, won the Women’s Power Award of the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Women Entrepreneurship Elite Award. She supports public welfare with practical actions and makes the hotel an activity space full of warmth and care. In addition, Huang Yonghe, director of the Guohe Martial Arts Museum, specially prepared small gifts for the guests, adding a warm atmosphere to the event.

They cannot run freely like other children, but they fight the disease with their tenacious will. Through the moving paintings they created, we can glimpse their deep yearning for life and freedom.
