What is the Red Ball Project?
The RedBall Project is a public street art work created by American artist Kurt Perschke. . This work is considered to be “the longest-running street art work in the world.”
The project’s centerpiece is a 15-foot-tall inflatable red sphere that is placed in urban spaces in different cities around the world, often within an elaborate installation that lasts one to two weeks at a time, with each specific location lasting just one day.
Since its implementation, the Red Ball Project has attracted the attention of international media and the public, and has been reported in many urban art books, art journals and media, and is regarded as one of the world’s iconic contemporary installation art.
