Take the bus to Tainan Transfer Station, walk south on Gongyuan Road for about 550 meters, turn left on Chenggong Road and walk straight for about 160 meters to arrive.

The hotel entrance is filled with mystery and features many luxurious golden elements. It is quite impressive. At first I couldn’t find the way to open the door (thinking: do I have to shout “Open Sesame?”). It turned out to be an automatic door. The button is on the right hand side, which does not destroy the beauty of the door design. It is quite cute and actually quite convenient.

Guests staying at the hotel can rent bicycles for free to enjoy a ride in Tainan.

The lobby on the first floor of Three Doors Hotel in Tainan is designed with classic rose metal, giving it a slightly luxurious and elegant romantic feel. It doesn’t look like a hotel lobby at all. You might have thought it was a bar. The first floor of Sandaomen Hotel is combined with a bar, integrating the counter and the bar. At night, you can enjoy a little tipsiness in the hotel. In addition, the bar is also open to the public, so if Tainan locals want to come to Sandaomen for a drink, they can also do so.

Originally a cram school, the room retains the original terrazzo floor and authentic stairwell, full of nostalgic charm, as if every corner tells a story. This is a spacious quadruple room with two double beds (150*200cm) that can be extended to 200cm, super large windows and a balcony.

All rooms in the hotel have windows and balconies facing the outside, which is very good, so there is no need to specify a window room when booking.

By the way, the three doors are very special! The floors are designed from top to bottom to represent different eras. The top seventh floor is from the Dutch period, and the sixth floor is from the Japanese colonial period. Therefore, you can take the elevator like a time machine to feel the changes of history. If you have time, you may as well travel through the floors and savor the beauty of old Tainan in different eras that the Three Doors want to convey. However, as you go down to the modern art style floor, the dimly lit corridors are lit with spotlights, making it feel like you are standing on the stage of life and can find your place among the numbers on the ground.

I asked the butler at the third door why the higher the floor, the more ancient the atmosphere? The founder of the hotel has subtly hidden the truth of life in the floors of the Sandaomen Hotel.
