Speaking of Du Xiaoyue, it is a local delicacy known to all Tainan citizens. It has a 126-year history in Tainan and can be said to be one of the most representative foods in Tainan.<\/p>

About Du Xiao Yue The ancestors of the Hong family usually made a living by replenishing fish. Every year during the season of bad sea conditions, they could not go out to sea to fish, which was commonly known as “Xiao Yue”. In order to support their families, they started selling noodles to “get through” the “Xiao Yue”. At the beginning, they sold noodles on a shoulder pole and hawked them along the streets. On the lantern in front of the stall, the six words “Du Xiao Yue Dan Zai Noodles” were written. Therefore, Du Xiaoyue has become its current trademark.<\/p>

This time I\u2019d like to introduce Du Xiaoyue, a restaurant that is highly recommended for people who love noodles. Delicious noodles not only rely on the experience of the master chef, the most important part is the “braised pork pot”. The braised meat enhances the taste of the noodles and adds different levels of taste. The family business has been passed down to the fourth generation, Du Xiaoyue. The interior is decorated with antique furnishings, and the utensils used by the first generation are still preserved on the walls, with introductions also marked on them. The scene of the first-generation founder selling noodles is still preserved on site, so that travelers who come to Du Xiaoyue to taste the food can feel the founder’s dedication and spirit.<\/p>
