The second art museum was designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban. The main body is transformed from Tainan’s characteristic poinciana into a pure and strong pentagonal shape. In order to adapt to Tainan’s climate, scientific research was conducted to create a geometric structure to adjust the green energy of the building space. When the sun shines on the roof at different angles, it will present light and shadow like light shining through leaves.
